Design System Metrics Correlation
If you are on a design system team, it’s not your job to measure the success of your subscribers. Those teams should each have their own ways of tracking progress toward their unique goals.
Your job is to fully understand adoption (which is much more nuanced that we like to admit) and then to correlate the health of a subscriber group’s adoption to an improvement in their success metrics.
Until you’ve done the hard work to truly wrap your mind around adoption, it’s nearly impossible to understand the impact of your system.
